964 Coupé Carrera 2

964 Coupé Carrera 2
Year of manufacture:
Satin Black Metallic
Key facts:
RS Clubsport refit

This Porsche 964 C2 was delivered to its first owner (from Darmstadt) on 25.05.1990, directly at the Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen headquarters. The Porsche left the workshop with a rear wheel drive and manual transmission, and without a sunroof or airbags. Alongside what are today very sought-after and purist specifications, the car’s colour combination in Satin Black Metallic / black leather is especially popular. The following extras have also been present since manufacture:

  • 139 adjustable seat heating, front, left
  • 328 Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 M.ARI car radio
  • 340 adjustable seat heating, front, right
  • 494 auxiliary amplifier
  • 573 air conditional
  • 980 RRL front seat covers in gathered leather

In the early 2000s, the Coupé suffered a break-in of the sort quite common at the time. The seats and the instruments were stolen. In consequence, for example a new tachometer has been installed. Since 2009, the Elfer has been driven only a provable 4000 km.

The then owner sold the 964 in 2017 after nearly 15 years. The new owner saw it as his job to restore the car in detail, with a careful visual concept approaching an RS / Clubsport. Over the next year and a half, nothing was too much trouble and no price too high, with nearly €40k being spent on new technology and appearance.

In addition, just before 40 000 km, the engine was completely revised by a Porsche specialist for more than €11k. This brings the total recent investment in the car to over €40k, which naturally fuels the air-cooled pleasure of driving a boxer engine. Here is a list of the revisions.
