History

The icon from Maranello was originally planned as a small production series and immediately managed to be loved by almost every sportscar enthusiast around the globe. When the F40 appeared in 1987, its data was simply breathtaking. 478PS, 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds at a top speed of over 200 mph. All this performance was fitted in a wild and masculine carbon fiber dress designed by Pininfarina. Originally it was intended to name the car LeMans, but shortly before the presentation of the last Ferrari, developed under the supervision of the Commendatore himself, the decision was made in favor of the name F40 to mark Ferrari’s 40th anniversary. A legend was born.

Our F40

Our Ferrari F40 with chassis number # 84105 was delivered new in Germany via S&T GmbH in Munich on the 20th of February 1990 to Herbert Gruber. Mr. Gruber kept the car for a whole 17 years, during which he drove 31,000 km. Subsequently, the F40 found a new home at the hands of Harald Bader in Weissenhorn. A handwritten note from the first owner, Mr. Gruber, confirms the originality of the mileage, as well as the condition of the car which is accident-free and in its first paint. Mr. Bader enjoyed the car until 2015, putting a further 5,000 km on the clock. The car was then sold to Peter Wiesner from Salzburg. Our F40 an example that has been well-looked after all these year, whilst being enjoyed on German and Austrian backroads.
